Announcing the 2026 Plett Arts Festival:

Plans are now underway for the Plett Arts Festival 2026 to go ahead, with members of the wider Plett arts community coming together to help make it happen.

The Plettenberg Bay Arts Association (PAA) is delighted to be part of this collaborative effort, and our preparations are already well underway for two major exhibitions – Community Canvas at the Plett Community Hall and The White House Collection at The White House Theatre.

After a period of uncertainty, we’re pleased that our artists can continue preparing and that the focus can return to what really matters: creating opportunities for artists and bringing people together to enjoy art in Plettenberg Bay.

Two exhibitions, two very different experiences:

Community Canvas will provide an inclusive exhibition space where artists can share their work with residents and visitors. The exhibition is about making art accessible, giving artists an opportunity to be seen and creating a welcoming space for people to discover the creativity within our community.

The White House Collection will offer a different experience, presenting a curated exhibition at The White House Theatre. Artists from Plettenberg Bay and further afield have submitted their portfolios for consideration, with the final selection being made by an independent panel of curators.

Together, the two exhibitions will offer visitors the opportunity to experience a wonderful range of art, artists and creative styles.

Taking art into Main Street:

PAA is also exploring an activation along Main Street, encouraging visitors to make their way through town and discover art at participating galleries, restaurants, estate agents and other local businesses. The idea is to take the celebration beyond our exhibition venues and into the heart of Plett, giving residents and visitors another reason to explore, discover local businesses and enjoy art along the way.

Plans for the Main Street activation are still being developed with the wider arts community, and we’ll share more as the programme takes shape.

Getting ready for September:

For our artists, the work continues. Preparations for Community Canvas and The White House Collection are moving ahead, and we’re looking forward to seeing both exhibitions come together over the coming weeks. There is still plenty of work to be done across the wider festival programme, with members of Plett’s arts community coming together to discuss how the different elements will work.

We’ll keep sharing updates as plans are confirmed.

For now, we’re delighted that plans for Plett Arts Festival 2026 are moving forward – and that PAA and our artists will be part of it.
